Our Story
PROtential was created by Aoife Kelleher, Denis O'Sullivan and Laura Kilmartin, three Food Marketing and Entrepreneurship students in University College Cork. After speaking to athletes of all levels across various sports disciplines, we realised that the current sports drinks on the market do not cater for the unique fitness needs and wants of athletes. Athletes' fitness goals change throughout the year, from muscle growth in the off-season, to endurance and recovery during the peak of championship. There is no healthy, sports drink out there providing specific fitness benefits.
Until now, meet PROtential; a range of three sports drinks fortified with probiotics, functional ingredients and vitamins, each providing a different fitness benefit enabling athletes to choose a drink that is personalised to their goals.

Aoife Kelleher
Having played Ladies Gaelic football for over 15 years, Aoife understands the demands of elite athletes as well as providing her with an adaptable leadership style and strong motivational skill, which helps her get the most out of her teammates to reach a shared goal. Aoife's industry experience in supply chain management and financial management has equipped her to effectively lead the PROtential team.
Chief Operating Officer
Denis O'Sullivan
Denis' previous roles within the food industry have included working in Technical and Project Management and working with local suppliers within the grocery retail sector. Denis also has a diploma in Project Management. As COO, Denis will hold responsibility for cross-functional administration aspects of the business. Denis will focus on implementing PROtential's business plan and maintaining company standards across HR, administration, and heath and food safety.

Laura Kilmartin
Laura's passion for food is evident having worked in various sectors of the Irish food industry. Laura has gained insider knowledge in social media marketing and has developed a strong capability to run effective social media marketing campaigns. Laura's enthusiasm for sports nutrition paired with her marketing capabilities will ensure that the product offerings and content creation will resonate with PROtential customers.
